Q.
How long have you been a wedding photographer?
I shot my first professional wedding in 1982. I have been
a photographer for over 20 years. During which time my work
has been published around the world. |
| |
q |
Q.
Do you shoot “Documentary” or “Traditional” style?
The short answer is; I shoot what YOU want.
However my personal preference is for a mix of
the two styles. Documentary images that capture the feel
of this special day, combined with a more formal images
of the wedding party in a beautiful location. |

Q.
What do you offer that is different or better?
A lot of preparation goes into photographing
your wedding. Before the wedding day I visit the venue(s)
for the ceremony and reception, checking out the best vantage
points, contingencies are made in case of bad weather. I
also like to attend the rehearsal if possible. Your requirements
are discussed in detail and your suggestions are welcomed.
Many years of professional darkroom printing and expertise
in digital imaging are added skills ensuring your satisfaction.

Q.
Can we have Black and White?
You
decide to have any image as colour or black & white or sepia effect. Images are shot digitally
and can be expertly “Channel-mixed” for suberb
b&w. Years of operating a professional darkroom combined
with “Adobe Photoshop Certified Expert” qualification
gives the widest range of possibilities. |

Q.
Do you use “Special effects” in your photography?

a new dimension to your wedding photographs.

Q.
Why do you work with an assistant?
I always work with an assistant,
usually my lovely wife Diane. When I am photographing I
become totally absorbed in the image so an assistant is
essential. Taking meter readings, switching lenses, checking
gear, looking out for the bride's arrival as I concentrate
on other shots etc. Di also brings a feminine perspective
to our coverage of your wedding. |

Q.
What packages do you offer?
A number of packages are available
to suit your needs and budget. for details click
here. |
| |
| q |
Q.
Can we design our own package?
Of course the packages listed are
only suggestions. It is your day and you
call the shots. For a quotation click
here or give me a call to discuss your requirements. |
| |

Q.
Do we get to keep the “negatives”?
The price that you pay includes High
Resolution digital files on CD or DVD. These are perfect
for getting professional quality reprints at a lab of your
choosing. I also keep backups for my own use. |
| |
| q |
Q.
When do we get the photographs?
You
will receive the proof sheets approximately 2 weeks
after your wedding. Your album will take about a month
from time of ordering the final prints. |
| |
| q |
Q. Can family and friends view
images online?
You can have your photographs placed
on a web page. This is an excellent option if you have family
and friends overseas or interstate. The pages can be password
protected so that you choose who gets to see them. Prints
can even be ordered online. |
| |
| q |
Q.
What kind of album do we get?
You
can choose a "dry-mount" style that holds one
or two prints per page. These acid-free pages give excellent
protection to your wedding photographs.
Many
couples like to go for a contemporary "magazine style" album
with varying amounts of images on each page.
If you wish,
you can supply your own album. This is a good option
for couples based outside of Australia who want to keep
shipping to a minimum.
We prefer that
you arrange an album after the wedding.
When they see the wide range of the images you may
want to include more shots than originally envisaged.
|
| |
| q |
Q. When do we pay?
One third payment is required when
booking, another third one month prior to the wedding
day and the balance one week before the big day.
You also have the option of paying
monthly instalments starting at the time of booking
and finishing 1 week before your wedding.

Q.
When are the “Formals” shot?
Usually between the ceremony and
the reception. We will go to a picturesque location to do
some relaxed portraits of the couple and the wedding party.
It is a chance to take a breather and really enjoy your
special day. Please allow for 1.5 to 2 hours for travel
and photography when planning the day. |
| |
| q |
Q. Do you photograph mid-week
weddings?
Absolutely. I even give a 15% discount
for weddings held Monday to Thursday.
If you have not yet finalized the date, think about a weekday,
especially if you are coming to Tasmania from overseas. |
| |
| q |
Q.
How far will you travel?
Generally
anywhere in Tasmania. It depends on what time you would
like coverage of the day to begin. It is important that
things are not too rushed. It is a big day for everyone.
